Traveling to Montreal

ONCE IN MONTREAL, HOW DO I GET TO IRIC?

By taxi: IRIC is located 30 min from the Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL), 10 min from the Montréal Train Station and 10 min from the Montreal Bus Station. It will cost you around 40 CAN$ for a one-way trip.

By metro or bus: The public transit system offers bus rides between the International airport and downtown Montreal (Line #747). For 11 CAN$ you will have access to the 747, the metro system and all the other bus lines (more information here). To get to IRIC, you have to reach the Université-de-Montréal metro station on the blue line. You can also get to IRIC by bus through the line 51 or line 119. For more information, visit the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) website. Note that no paper bills are accepted on buses so make sure to buy your ticket at the STM vending machines in the airport.

By car: Students traveling by car can use the Louis-Colin parking lot (#24 on the campus map) at a rate of 20 CAN$ per day. Payment will be asked once you exit the parking so make sure to keep the ticket.

The nearby Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges is lined with colorful shops, restaurants, bookstores, movie theaters, cafés, grocery stores and bakeries.
